Beauty

All the times with my mother I used to sit

Watch girls getting crowned for their breathtaking beauty

I wonder if this is true, if you are someone else’s definition of beauty

This led me to ponder what is beauty in the first place

No, it’s not the glittering tiaras, the beautiful eyes or spotless radiant skin

It’s not the perfect hair, or being tall and slim

Because beauty lies skin deep

It’s the smile in the pain

Laughing in the rain

Singing in the shower

Being brave, not cower

Beauty is what you are, so go ahead and live it!
