First of all, I apologize to my fellow readers for not posting a quote on Tuesday as my weekly feature states. I went to Chennai and couldn’t post anything, I didn’t even use any internet for 4 days straight. That being said, this week’s quote is from the movie Dead poets society, which is probably unheard of for you as it is quite old but the movie is more than great.
We don’t read and write poetry because it’s cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.
-John Keating, Dead poets society (1989)
